The Pittsburgh Steelers will have a tough decision on Day 1 of the NFL Draft at the end of the month. When it's their time to pick, they may have to decide between picking a former Pittsburgh legend's son, or another top billed prospect. In this episode of the Three Point Stance podcast presented by SteelerNation hosts Dee Gray and Kaleb Everhart, they break down top cornerback prospect, Joey Porter Jr.

Porter Jr. is projected to be drafted in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft at the end of the month. It would be an incredible story if he ends up drafted by the same team that selected his father back in 1999. He played for the Steelers for eight seasons, from 1999 to 2006, and was a key member of the team's defense during that time. He was a three-time Pro Bowler and was named to the All-Pro team four times. He helped lead the Steelers to victory in Super Bowl XL in 2006.
After leaving the Steelers, Porter played for the Miami Dolphins from 2007 to 2009 and for the Arizona Cardinals in 2010. He retired from the NFL after the 2011 season.
In 2013, Porter returned to the Steelers as a defensive assistant coach. He was promoted to outside linebackers coach in 2014, a position he held until 2018. During his time as a coach, Porter was known for his fiery personality and his ability to motivate players. He was also credited with helping to develop several of the Steelers' young linebackers, including Bud Dupree and T.J. Watt.
Earlier this month, Porter Jr. joined The Rich Eisen Show to discuss how great it would be to end up in Pittsburgh.
"The history of my dad and everything he's done for the sport and the Steelers. That comes to mind. They've talked to me about that a little bit; and what I could bring to the table. It was a great conversation."
It's unknown currently if the Steelers have Porter Jr. as high on their board as other teams. It's also possible the Steelers won't opt for a cornerback in the first round, instead hoping one of the top guys falls to pick #32.
