We all like to have some fun from time-to-time. For Pittsburgh Steelers head coach, Mike Tomlin, he had something to laugh about on Saturday when his son Dino Tomlin found the end zone, catching a touchdown pass in the back of the end-zone from Emmett Morehead at the Boston College Eagles Spring Game. Tomlin's son decided to bust out the dance moves for an epic touchdown celebration.

Tomlin, being the dad, wasn't going to be a fun-sucker for his son in the special moment. Dino Tomlin is expected to be a major part of the Eagles offense this upcoming season. But he may have to work a little harder at impressing his old man with his touchdown dances.

"The dad in me finds this quite funny. The coach in me, not so much! Lol," Tomlin tweeted.

The Super Bowl-winning head coach probably wouldn't speak on social media or laugh about it as much if it was Diontae Johnson or George Pickens. But we all know Tomlin loves his Steelers playmakers. The Steelers have been middle-of-the-pack in terms of total team penalties in years past. The team ranked 14th in penalties in 2022, 13th in 2021, 27th in 2020, and 12th in 2019.

In terms of taunting penalties, last season Pittsburgh racked up 94 such penalties in total, good for 20th in the league. In 2021, the team finished 12th with 110 violations. Tomlin has kept the Steelers fairly disciplined in his tenure with the team; only ranking in the top 10 twice since 2009. Pittsburgh tallied the fifth-most in 2010 with 119 and the seventh-most in 2016 with 125.

Tomlin has always been someone who will speak his mind, especially if he finds it necessary to do so. One of the major keys to the Steelers success might be the discipline that Tomlin has instilled since he arrived. Since 2007, Pittsburgh ranks 23rd in total penalties. In a CBS Sports article on the subject by Jeff Kerr, he mentions that Tomlin's 16 consecutive non-losing seasons to begin his career as a head coach is the longest streak in league history. His 163 regular-season victories in his 16 seasons are the second most of all-time, only two behind legendary Miami Dolphins head coach, Don Shula.

Where do you think the Steelers could rank in the 2023-2024 NFL season in penalties?

Regardless, we know Tomlin and company will keep their guard up this upcoming season with the Steelers. Plus, how could we fault this man after all he has done for having a little bit of fun with his oldest son. The key is to have fun without causing distraction or drama to the team. Tomlin has always formed special bonds and lifelong relationships with his players. He is the true 'definition' of a players coach. Even challenging his players in the upcoming season

As we anxiously wait for the 2023 NFL Draft coming up at the end of April, the Steelers will try to continue working to put themselves in the best position to make the playoffs again this season. But aside from strictly on-the-field NFL news, it was nice to see Coach Tomlin laughing and smiling at his son's game over the weekend.
