The Pittsburgh Steelers were among the many, many teams demoralized by Tom Brady during his 23 seasons in the NFL. During that time, the Steelers experienced Brady's dominance firsthand in their three AFC Championship losses to the New England Patriots. With so many seasons and many statistics against Pittsburgh along the way, one would think some of Brady's favorite moments came against Pittsburgh. He said on Friday that his favorite touchdown actually came at the expense of the Steelers.

Steelers On The Wrong Side Of Brady Often
Speaking from his Threads account, Brady spoke with his followers ahead of his return to New England since his retirement following the 2022 season. This weekend will be quite the event when the quarterback returns to his old stomping grounds. As it used to be during his career, Pittsburgh was still relevant to Brady and the organization came up again.
Brady asked his followers what their favorite touchdowns from Foxboro were. Choosing to kick things off himself, he shared a video from his historic, undefeated 2007 season that shows a trick play succeeding against the Steelers during a Week 14 matchup against Brady's Patriots.

It may not have been the prettiest play or one that worked out without any issues, but for Brady, it still stands out in his mind when he thinks back on the hundreds of touchdowns he threw during his time in New England.

Steelers Brought Out Brady's Nasty Side
During that 2007 meeting between the Steelers and Brady's Patriots, there was definitely no love lost between the two teams. The Patriots came into the Week 14 game with a 12-0 record, every single bit of momentum at their backs, and yet Anthony Smith, a safety with the Steelers at the time, guaranteed a Pittsburgh win.
Not only did the Steelers not win, but Smith's words inflamed Brady even more, ending in a 34-13 beatdown with New England on the winning end. Brady even admitted after the game that there were certain things exchanged between him and Smith that his mother would not have approved of.
The competitor in Brady still comes out when he lets himself go back to those moments in his career. As if to pour a little salt into the wound, Brady laughed off the slightly sloppy method by which his favorite touchdown was scored. Knowing Brady, it is something he would have done to the Steelers faces in 2007 following that loss.
"Just how we drew it up, throw the first one short to really sell the fake"
The 2023 season won't include Brady, something that nearly every fanbase agrees is a positive thing. Since Brady's departure from New England, things haven't been the same in a town that grew quite accustomed to winning on a yearly basis and winning big at that. With their 2023 regular season opener nearly here, the expectations behind the Patriots are a far cry from what was the standard under Brady.

The Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett is poised to make a big leap in 2023 and will take the team with him
The AFC goes through Kansas City, or at least that is what the Chiefs hope to prove in 2023, but it wasn't too long ago the road to any Super Bowl led directly through Foxboro. With Brady comfortably enjoying his retirement, the Steelers are primed to take the NFL by storm in 2023 with their second-year quarterback, Kenny Pickett, at the helm. There was once a time when no one saw greatness in Brady, and we all know that the rest is history.
If you ask Pickett, this could be the launching point for when the Steelers could be seen as the next great dynasty.
