The Pittsburgh Steelers have a long lineage of star players, which has led to the organization winning a total of six Super Bowl Titles. When one thinks of the quarterback position in the Steel City, it often comes down to a debate regarding the best ever to lead the franchise. Terry Bradshaw and Ben Roethlisberger both had phenomenal careers for the Black and Gold, but Bradshaw has double the amount of Super Bowl rings as Roethlisberger. The two both are involved in commentary one way or another, with Bradshaw working for Fox, and Roethlisberger hosting his own podcast, Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger.

Steelers' retired Pro Bowl quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger (#7) runs onto the playing surface to warm up prior to a 2021 regular season game at then-Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, PA.

The two former quarterbacks are often in the spotlight for Steelers fans, even though both are retired. A combined six Super Bowls between them will always be important to the Pittsburgh faithful. Unfortunately for Bradshaw, he has experienced some health issues in recent years, and has also been quoted saying some pretty interesting things while on the NFL on Fox pregame show and podcasts.

The crew on Fox was getting the league's fans ready for an exciting beginning to the season. Pittsburgh played on Fox's national 1:00pm ET game, which meant plenty of Steelers fans had their eyes on Bradshaw. The Hall of Famer made it known that he was looking forward to the start of the regular season, but took it a bit too far when given the chance.

Take that how you will, but there's no doubt that a comment coming from Bradshaw like that will draw some kind of suspicion an attention. He often says questionable things and they get swept under the rug, but this is the most recent example of yet another head-scratching moment. Anyone who understands what spin the bottle is can comprehend just how odd it was for Bradshaw to have said something like that.

Steelers' former Super Bowl-winning quarterback, Terry Bradshaw sits down on the broadcasting stand while giving commentary about the NFL for Fox Sports.

Bradshaw is now 76 years of age and is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to giving commentary regarding the NFL. He has been involved in the media since the early 1980s, but isn't necessarily giving anyone reason to continue to watch him, especially with concerning comments like the ones that were made on Sunday. The Steelers' fan base will always be appreciative of his football knowledge and on-field play, but could certainly go without remarks regarding his aunt and spin the bottle.

He was quoted back in 2023 discussing his long-term commitment to NFL on Fox. It's safe to say that Bradshaw still feels as if he can perform his job at a high level, and it benefits the network to have him on.

The media personality has branched out throughout the course of his retired career, even making an appearance on The Masked Singer not too long ago. It seems as if Bradshaw will remain in the media until he is unable to speak in front of a camera. Some may take his comments on Sunday in jest, but others could very well view them as odd and uncomfortable.

Steelers' Bradshaw Still Does Not Have Number Officially Retired

A player has not worn Bradshaw's #12 in over four decades. It's pretty much an unofficially recognized retired number, but the organization has yet to formally recognize the four-time Super Bowl champion. It's possible that honor comes at some point, but as of now, both he and Roethlisberger won't have to see another player wear the numbers they donned. However, it's anybody's guess as to when that will permanently be known.
