The Pittsburgh Steelers boosted their record to 10-3 after a 27-14 win against the Cleveland Browns. The Steelers stopped a complete sweep from the Browns happening and continued their home win streak against Cleveland as the division rival hasn't won in Pittsburgh since 2003. Pittsburgh continues its playoff push with having a two-game lead over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North as the Ravens were on a bye this week. Despite a slow start, Pittsburgh's offense finished with 267 total yards and the defense accumulated multiple turnovers again.

One of these turnovers came from second-year defensive tackle Keeanu Benton. Benton picked off Jameis Winston at the beginning of the second quarter as he ran along the line and caught a screen pass that was meant for Nick Chubb. Beanie Bishop Jr. also helped out on the play as he created pressure on Winston.

This turnover set up Pittsburgh's offense in good field position that led to a touchdown. Benton's play ultimately changed the tone of the game as the Browns didn't score again until the fourth quarter.

Even though Benton had a huge play, Cameron Heyward laughed when asked during his postgame press conference if Benton was holding a game ball in the locker room. Heyward gave a hilarious response to the question, while also giving his young teammate plenty of praise for his turnover.

“Game ball? It’s just one interception," Heyward said. "If that’s the case, you know I’m waiting on mine. I've never gotten one for that, but heck of a play. Great awareness just to track it down the line, it wasn’t like it popped in the air or anything. Can’t say enough about the kid. He works his tail off and I know he wants big plays all the time, but it was a big play for us in this game. Lucky to have that kid on our sideline.”

Earlier in the season, there were concerns of Benton's playing style as he wasn't making too much of an impact on games. He was a hopeful breakout player, but wasn't doing much to prove that statement. Benton has 23 total tackles through 13 games played and five pass deflections. After the Browns game, Benton adds a a very important interception to his resume.

Heyward has been a huge veteran leader on the defensive line and has helped Benton continue to grow each week. Heyward has been having a great season himself with 55 total tackles and eight sacks. Even at 35 years old, Heyward has continued to be a force at the line and wreck opposing offensive plays. Now with Alex Highsmith back, there's a lot of weapons and depth on the defensive line.

After Winston came off an almost 500-yard passing game in Week 13, it was concerning on how Pittsburgh's defense would prevent that from happening against it. Winston is an up-and-down player and it's never known which side of him a team will get. The defense didn't allow the quarterback to beat it too badly and held Winston to 212 yards and Cleveland's rushing attack to 104 yards.

Steelers' Defense Continues To Create Turnovers

The Steelers caused three turnovers against the Browns, picking off Winston twice and recovering a muffed punt. Pittsburgh's defense continues its turnover dominance, having 27 total takeaways this season entering the game. The defense has allowed the offense to have easy field position to score and it was shown against the Browns, which gave the offense the spark it needed.

This Steelers team is arguably the most complete it's been in a while. Both sides of the ball are making huge plays, as well as the special teams helping out. Pittsburgh will need to continue to stay healthy and play well on all aspects as it faces a tough remaining schedule.
