The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to leave Foxborough with a win following an intense back-and-fourth matchup with the New England Patriots. The Steelers' quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, was underwhelming for the second week in a row as Pittsburgh's offensive unit was able to compile just 21 points in the road victory. Jaylen Warren thrived throughout the game, as the running back proved he is worthy of a significant workload.

Rodgers was credited with just 139 yards in the Steelers' Week 3 win. The veteran quarterback managed to throw two touchdowns despite the struggles, as he was able to connect with Calvin Austin lll late in the game for a momentum-changing touchdown. Rodgers took a moment to speak with the media following the game, as the future Hall Of Fame quarterback shared his thoughts on the Steelers' performance throughout the afternoon.

Rodgers claimed the game was a very "weird" one, as the veteran went more in depth on the Steelers' urgency throughout all four quarters.
"I think it was one of those weird disjointed games where we had three possessions in the first half," Rodgers said. "We had a chance on the third possession to keep it going, but Pat [Freiermuth] and I were not on the same page on the scramble drill; then, we sat on the bench for what seemed to be 20 or 30 minutes. So we just couldn't get into a rhythm at all."
Rodgers and the Steelers' offense were tested against one of the better secondaries in all of football during Week 3's matchup. The veteran quarterback was a far cry from the version fans saw of him in Week 1, but Rodgers was able to play at a high enough level to ensure a road victory.
Warren led Pittsburgh's back field in both rushing yards and attempts for the third week in a row, as the talented running back continues to emerge as one of the most crucial playmakers on the Steelers' offense.
Warren was able to rush for a team-high 47 yards against the Patriots. The running back been decent throughout his first season as the Steelers' top ball-carrier, and could continue to play at an elite level throughout 2025. Warren has quickly become a legitimate weapon in the passing game as well, as the dynamic player was credited with 34 yards through the air.

Steelers' Austin Is Seeking A Contract Extension
Austin has looked like he is capable of being a legitimate option during the first three weeks of the 2025 season. The young receiver hauled in a team high 34 yards and a touchdown on Sunday despite having five targets. Austin's biggest play of the game came late in the fourth quarter when Rodgers was able to connect with the talented receiver in the back of the end zone, instantly shifting the momentum in the Steelers' favor.
Austin is currently in the fourth and final year of his rookie contract. The receiver is set to be a free agent at the end of this season, as he will look to play at a high level throughout one of the more crucial seasons of his young career. Austin's next opportunity to step up will be Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings as the Steelers will travel to Ireland for the matchup.
Rodgers' comments on the Week 3 matchup against the Patriots are not surprising. The veteran will need to play at a higher level for the remainder of the season, as Rodgers now finds himself with two underwhelming weeks in a row. The legendary quarterback could have a big performance in next week's matchup, as Rodgers and the rest of Pittsburgh's offensive unit will look to continue developing chemistry as the season rolls on.
