The Pittsburgh Steelers have been one of the most talked about teams in the league going into Week 4 since the team is participating in the first ever regular season game in Dublin, Ireland on Sunday morning. The Steelers are taking on the Minnesota Vikings, and the game should be interesting as both teams are 2-1 going into the contest and each side is fairly beat up. It was interesting to see how each franchise travelled and prepared for the long trip overseas, and Pittsburgh wound up getting involved in some drama after landing in Ireland.

One of Pittsburgh's quarterbacks wound up getting jumped and robbed on Friday night in Dublin, Ireland. Skylar Thompson was the player involved, and he is said to have suffered some minor injuries. This didn't affect his status for the game as he is already on Injured Reserve, but it is frightening for the team.

Thompson is coming off of a great stint during the 2025 preseason, and he is seen as a trade candidate around the league as some quarterback needy teams could look into dealing for the veteran. It is an unfortunate situation that he went through in Dublin, but thankfully he is okay and didn't suffer more extreme injuries.

It has been said that Thompson has suffered some minor injuries, but no real details have emerged about the instance. It was said to have happened on Friday night in Dublin, but that is also fans know as of now. Pittsburgh's Senior Director Of Communications issued a statement to the media, but it seems as though the franchise is keeping things close to the vest for now.

"We are aware of a situation involving Skylar Thompson on Friday night in Dublin." Lauten said. "We will have no further comment at this time as we are working with NFL security to gather more information regarding the incident.”

Hopefully fans can find out more about the situation involving Thompson once the franchise returns to Pittsburgh, and hopefully the quarterback is okay and he can return to the field shortly once he is activated off of IR.
