The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered an abysmal loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 13 of the NFL season, with many people wondering whether or not the Steelers have a team that can make a push for the playoffs. The team sits at 6-6 and is tied for the lead in the AFC North, and faces the Baltimore Ravens in a critical matchup that will decide who has the advantage in the division come Week 14. If the game against the Bills was any indication, the Steelers will be looking to improve on preventing the collapse that took place in the last half of that contest to ensure they don't have a repeat performance.

The main talking point of the Steelers' offense right now is current quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his health going into the game against the Ravens. On top of his health, fans and media alike are wondering if Rodgers has any faith left in the players around him, especially after the comments that he made postgame against the Bills. Rodgers had implied that there was a disconnect between him and the receivers in the locker room prior to games, but lately, Rodgers himself seems to want to flip the script on these comments.

Rodgers spoke to the media earlier, and was asked about how he feels about the offense after last week, and his new comments seem to be an attempt to be optimistic about the situation.

"I get the feeling that most of the time, I don't think this team has a freak out or a panic that I need to, like, send a message out to the zeitgeist that everybody needs to just relax," Rodgers said. "We've been playing inconsistent football, that's for sure. We got to play better. But I have confidence in the leadership of the team, I have confidence in our guys, and that we're going to put a better performance on the field as well."

Rodgers making the comments he has is definitely a good way to help restore confidence in the Steelers fans who believe the team has no hope for a playoff push. His remark about the team playing inconsistent football is also very accurate, seeing as there will be weeks that the offense looks like it has turned the corner and become potent, while they end up disappearing in other games. They absolutely need to find a way to figure out how to win games on offense, and Rodgers seems to have the confidence in the team that they can turn it around and begin putting up good performances moving forward.

The best thing that the Steelers can do looking forward is to find a way to pick apart the defenses of their upcoming opponents by adjusting the scheming and how the play-calling is utilized in key areas on the field. Against the Bills, it was apparent that they couldn't find a way to take advantage of the Bills having the third worst rushing defense in the league, and kept trying to pass the ball when the Bills have the best passing defense in the league. The game against the Ravens will be a much different game, as the Steelers are going to need to find a way to take down another rush-heavy team and ensure they can establish the run themselves.

Steelers Must Win Remaining Divisional Games Going Forward

The Steelers might play the Ravens this week, but they'll see them again in Week 18, along with seeing the Cleveland Browns again in Week 17. These three games are the most critical, and winning these three will be the best way for the Steelers to remain playoff hopefuls.
