The Pittsburgh Steelers won a big game over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday as the group won the contest by a score of 27-22. Both teams went into the matchup with the same record, and the winner was going to take the lead in the division. The two sides will play again later in the year so the division is not yet decided, but the victory in Baltimore set Pittsburgh up for success. Both the offense and defense played really well for Pittsburgh, and it seemed to be the team's most complete outing since its trip to Ireland.

There was a ton of noise surrounding the Steelers going into the showdown, and the team bounced back and got a huge win to instill some optimism within the fan base. A big factor in the victory was wide receiver DK Metcalf, who had been having a rough string of games, as he saw limited targets and production.
That was not the case on Sunday as the receiver was targeted by quarterback Aaron Rodgers 12 times in the win and he hauled in seven passes, including a deep shot down the sideline to begin the game for Pittsburgh. The receiver was asked about that during his postgame press conference.
"It was great, felt great." Metcalf said. "When I saw Aaron load it up, I was like 'Here we go.' That was it. That's all I've been waiting for, opportunities down the field. We were able to capitalize on that."
Metcalf had not had a big game in a while, and Sunday certainly qualified as a big one for the veteran wide receiver. He hauled in seven balls for 148 yards in the contest, with his longest catch being 52 yards. This broke a tough streak for the Steelers as the offense had struggled to complete passes for more than 20 yards, but that was not the case on Sunday. The entire field was open for Rodgers and Metcalf, and the duo played a major role in the win for Pittsburgh.

Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf hauls in a long pass during during Pittsburgh's 27-22 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14 of the 2025 NFL Regular Season.
This was the first time Metcalf had more than 50 yards receiving in a game since the team played the Green Bay Packers back in Week 8. It has been a tough couple of months for the receiver, but he and Rodgers got back on the right page during the win in Baltimore. Hopefully the connection between the two stays strong moving forward as the Steelers will look to stay in front of the AFC North in order to clinch a spot in the playoffs.
Pittsburgh will be squaring off against the the below-average secondary of the Miami Dolphins, which features former Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. This is an optimal matchup for Pittsburgh, and Metcalf and Rodgers should be able to put up decent numbers while hosting Miami.

Steelers Get Back On The Right Track Against The Ravens
Pittsburgh is now set up to win the AFC North with the rest of the team's schedule. Baltimore's schedule is significantly harder as it has to play the Packers and the New England Patriots, with another game against Pittsburgh looming in Week 18. Pittsburgh controls its own destiny, and the strong connection between Metcalf and Rodgers resurfacing at this point of the season is huge for Pittsburgh's chance to make any noise in the postseason.
A win like this over a divisional rival will keep the fan base happy for now, as the entire city seemed to be calling for Mike Tomlin's job throughout the week. Those cries should get quieter now, but the group will need to continue this level of success throughout the rest of the year.
