By G.Stryker:
What a terrible week for injuries. 5 players were injured last week against the Ravens and are listed as out for the game. Mason Rudolph (concussion), Steven Nelson (groin), Mark Barron (hamstring), James Washington (shoulder), and Jaylen Samuels (knee). Losing four Starters and the most dynamic running back on the roster, will be tough to recover from since the Steelers have to travel to the west coast to play in Los Angeles this week. Rudolph being out means the Steelers are down to their 3rd starting quarterback this season, as Devlin Hodges will suit up and start.
Roosevelt Nix is still out and revering from his knee injury he received during the first game of the year.
The one positive is Anthony Chickillo (Foot) is returning this week after missing the past 3 weeks.
I track and try to predict timelines for Steeler players returning to the field. This is a link to our current spreadsheet. It will update on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday after the practice reports are issued, as well as Post-Game and Tuesday after Coach Tomlin's press conferences. With 6 players listed as out, there will only be one healthy scratch this week. I believe the inactive players will be:
- Roosevelt Nix: Listed as out, & will not play
- Mason Rudolph: Listed as out, & will not play
- James Washington: Listed as out, & will not play
- Jaylen Samuels: Listed as out, & will not play
- Steven Nelson: Listed as out, & will not play
- Mark Barron: Listed as out, & will not play
- Chukwuma Okorafor: The Steelers usually dress 7 linemen, so Chukes should sit.
Do you think someone else will sit instead? Comment below and let us know your selections.
