In a world where games are still not certain due to the Covid virility of the Tennessee Titans, we can only hope they get their house in order and all of the NFL safety measures are followed. Thus far they seem to be failing.
Coach Mike Tomlin has mentioned FB Derek Watt (hamstring) is doing some running. Backup safety and linebacker Marcus Allen was previously ruled as doubtful with plantar fasciitis. Tomlin said Allen is running in the pool. That is not a good sign to being able to play this week. It will be seen if either of these players will be placed on 3 week minimum Injured Reserve, but one thing is for sure, the Pittsburgh Steelers have taken a hit at their special teams coverage by losing these 2 players.
Diontae Jonson has cleared concussion protocol. Johnson has missed the first practice of the 2 previous weeks with a toe injury he is working through. JuJu Smith-Schuster has also rested his knee in previous practices. With an extra week off last week, he should be back to practice very soon.
It appears the rest of the players have been given a veteran day off, and should return to practice tomorrow. Joe Haden's illness should not be an issue and he should return soon.
