The Pittsburgh Steelers were given the short end of the stick when it came to the majority of the organization's 2024 schedule, but it specifically has been noted as brutal down the stretch in November and December. All six of the team's divisional games were set to be played in an eight-contest stretch to end the year while matchups against the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs were also thrown into that mix. On top of it all, Mike Tomlin's group will have to play on Christmas Day, which falls on a Wednesday. It's safe to say that several individuals in the Steel City aren't happy with the slate.

A wrinkle thrown into the Steelers' Christmas contest versus the Chiefs is that it will be live on Netflix. The streaming conglomerate decided to get into the profitable business that is live sports and recent reports have indicated that advertising slots have already been sold out. As the December holidays inch closer, fans of football were able to get a small sneak peak of live streaming sports on Netflix on Friday evening with Jake Paul and Mike Tyson set to fight.

Unfortunately, before the big fight of the evening had the chance to get underway, the streaming service had issues throughout the preliminary fights that were the talk of social media.

The new age of social media has allowed everyone to follow things in real time, and that's exactly what happened with Netflix being put on blast by several different users on X.

The fight between Tyson and Paul has been heavily advertised, but will not gain nearly as much traction and attention as the Steelers facing off against the Chiefs in Pittsburgh on a major holiday.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell can't feel all that good about seeing issues with Netflix on a random Friday night as a boxing card plays out. The league office will likely inquire about the issues to make sure it isn't a problem come late December.

Fans paying attention to the fight night made sure to let one of the world's leading streaming services that there was some worry regarding the broadcast and it was bound to get worse.

Time will tell if these problems get fixed as the New Year approaches, but Steelers and Chiefs fans will have a rough Christmas trying to watch the contest if buffering issues persist.

Steelers' Unfortunate Schedule Comes With Weird End To The 2024 Season

Pittsburgh will have to play the Baltimore Ravens on a Saturday in Week 16 before taking on Kansas City at home on Christmas. The lineup hasn't been received well by fans in the Steel City, and the black and gold faithful will be even more upset if Netflix has streaming issues during what could be one of the biggest games of the AFC's season.
