The Pittsburgh Steelers took down the Baltimore Ravens as home underdogs on Sunday to remain in first place in the AFC North. A huge contributor to Pittsburgh's victory was linebacker Patrick Queen, who played with extra passion facing his former team that he claimed did not want him back. Queen made some big plays on Sunday, including a forced fumble and recovery, which helped to put the Steelers ahead 9-7 at halftime.

Russell Wilson and the Steelers offense struggled versus Baltimore, as Pittsburgh collected six field goals from Chris Boswell. Pittsburgh's defense played perfectly throughout the first half, and they didn't allow a touchdown until there was only a minute remaining left in the half. The offense had another three-and-out which gave Baltimore another chance for points with just 45 seconds left until intermission.
On the Ravens' first play of the drive, Queen forced a fumble by Isaiah Likely and recovered the ball on the Ravens' 19 yard-line. Boswell would come out to put the team ahead by two points after failing to convert a touchdown. After the team's huge divisional win, Queen gave Pittsburgh reporters his perspective of his big play late in the second quarter.
"I think my mom was in the stands on that side, and she was like, 'Bring the ball if you get a turnover,'" Queen explained. "I blacked out, like I just grabbed the ball and took off. So, she's probably going to be p*ssed at me when I get home. I'm not gonna get a home cooked meal for a minute."
Queen led the Steelers in total tackles with 10 on Sunday, one of which was a tackle for loss. Pittsburgh held Baltimore's offense to only 329 total yards, while they've been averaging over 400 yards all season. Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry both were contained by Pittsburgh, as Henry only totaled 65 yards on the ground but did manage to score.

Pittsburgh's win has to feel so special for Queen. Queen spent the first four seasons of his career in Baltimore, but the team was uninterested in re-signing him. Steelers' Head Coach Mike Tomlin has been excited about Queen all year and even sent him out for the coin toss against his former team ahead of kickoff.

Steelers' Defense Steps Up Big After Shaky Performance Against Washington
From the defensive linemen to the defensive backs, everyone played a part in Pittsburgh's dominant performance on defense. The Ravens were coming into town with the most efficient offense in the NFL, yet Tomlin and the Steelers found ways to stop them. Rookie linebacker Payton Wilson had a huge interception off of Jackson halfway through the final quarter which gave the Steelers a chance to go up 18-10.

Though the offense couldn't find its rhythm on Sunday, Pittsburgh's defense showed how far they can take this team. The signing of Queen by Pittsburgh in the 2024 offseason is turning out to be a great move, after some were questioning him throughout the first few weeks of the season.
Pittsburgh has been in desperate need of a high quality middle linebacker, and it looks like the Ravens let one fall right into the Steelers' hands. Pittsburgh is now 8-2 with the Ravens at 7-4 in second place in the division.
What are your thoughts on Queen and Pittsburgh's performance on Sunday? The Steelers have now won four games straight since putting Wilson under center, so how long will the streak continue? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
