Steelers 2025 Official Schedule

1.) Steelers Open The Season In New York Against A Familiar Face In Justin Fields
The Steelers’ first game that will grab fans’ attention features Justin Fields getting an early chance for revenge. This is not the typical revenge story, though, because Fields chose not to return to the Steelers in 2025.

Steelers' Justin Fields arrives at training camp in Latrobe ahead of the 2024 season.
He started the first six games of the 2024 season and performed solidly, but the team eventually handed the reins over to Russell Wilson and Fields never got another opportunity. During the offseason, the Steelers allowed him to walk and he signed a two-year contract with the Jets reportedly worth $40 million, including $30 million guaranteed.
He will be hungry to show the Steelers what they missed out on. Of course, if Aaron Rodgers does decide to come to the Steel City for 2025, he will also be seeking revenge. His motivation will likely be fueled by even more anger since Rodgers didn’t have a great split from New York.
2.) Steelers' New WR DK Metcalf Faces Off Against His Ex-Team In Week 2
The Steelers made a huge move in the 2025 offseason to trade with the Seattle Seahawks for star wide receiver DK Metcalf. The organization then gave him a contract worth $30 million per year.
Metcalf will get a chance to go up against the team he has spent his entire NFL career with so far: the Seahawks. All of this will happen during the Steelers’ home opener in Week 2. This game will definitely be marked on Metcalf’s calendar after the team traded him.
3.) Chargers’ Najee Harris Gets A Shot At Revenge Against The Steelers
Najee Harris faces the Steelers in Week 10 with plenty of motivation. After spending the first four seasons of his career in Pittsburgh, Harris now plays for the Los Angeles Chargers. The Steelers drafted Harris in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, but they didn't see a future with him past his rookie deal.

Steelers' Russell Wilson and Najee Harris walk off the field after a crushing playoff defeat.
His move came after the Steelers decided to let him walk in the 2025 offseason. Steelers fans will be excited to see their former running back go up against their defense. Harris will want to prove that he still belongs in the conversation as one of the league’s top running backs. Playing in Los Angeles gives him a chance to shine on a big stage against his old team.
4.) The 2024 League MVP Comes To Pittsburgh To Face The Steelers
The Steelers are very familiar with league MVP-level talent, facing two-time MVP Lamar Jackson twice every season. In 2025, they will welcome the 2024 league MVP, Josh Allen, to Pittsburgh for a Week 13 showdown. Hosting the Buffalo Bills in late November promises an intriguing matchup, especially with the potential for cold weather adding to the intensity.
5.) Steelers Get A Little Bit Of Grace In 2025
The biggest conversation during the 2024 season centered around the AFC North games being scheduled so late, all coming after the bye week. Fans also noticed the tough stretch where the Steelers had to play three games in just 10 days. In 2025, the Steelers will get some relief from the NFL.

According to CBS Sports, Pittsburgh’s schedule ranks as the 10th hardest in the league, offering a bit more balance and breathing room this time around. Though the NFL is never easy and Mike Tomlin's non-losing season record will be tested to the extreme in 2025 with an uncertain quarterback situation.
