The Pittsburgh Steelers finally have clarity at the most important position in all of sports after Aaron Rodgers made it clear he was joining them. The Steelers were entangled in a saga that lasted the entire offseason surrounding the 41-year-old quarterback. Now, Rodgers will be leading the Steelers for the 2025 season, and his outlook has become very interesting.

If Rodgers can protect the football, manage the offense at a high level, and show even 50 percent of his prime self, the Steelers could become a legitimate threat in the AFC. Pittsburgh finally has a trusted veteran under center. With a strong defense and a powerful run game, the team is built to compete. Rodgers brings experience, leadership, and a winning pedigree that could change the trajectory of the season.

Several players have already sounded off about facing Rodgers in the AFC North. The most recent to speak up was Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowler Kyle Van Noy. On Monday, he joined Mike Garafolo on The Insiders and revealed he is seeking revenge on Rodgers. Van Noy said he has not forgotten their past battles and made it clear he is looking forward to putting pressure on the future Hall of Famer when the Ravens and Steelers meet this year.

"I'll tell you a quick Aaron Rodgers story that I would like to get him back," Van Noy said. "It was actually back when I was in Detroit playing inside linebacker. For whatever reason, the d-coordinator, who is actually the d-coordinator of the Steelers, wanted to go Cover Zero all game against Aaron Rodgers. He caught us. Ended up scoring a touchdown to Jordy Nelson. Ended up walking behind and kinda tapped me on the butt like, 'nice try.' So I gotta get him back for that. That's been there for 10 years."

Rodgers has always been known for his competitive fire, and that often shows through his on-field trash talk. It's never malicious, just part of what makes him who he is. One of the most iconic examples came when he famously told Chicago Bears fans that he "still owns" them after a touchdown at Soldier Field.

That kind of edge has followed Rodgers throughout his career, and now it’s coming to the AFC North. Van Noy seems especially eager to welcome him to the division.

"He's a he** of a player... he's a couple field goals away from having a winning record," Van Noy said. "I still feel like he's slinging the ball around. He has the confidence of anybody, especially being a four-time MVP of the league. He's coming into that Steelers who are ready and prime to have a guy at the helm, at the quarterback position to take them where they want to go. I feel like they have a good offensive coordinator with Arthur Smith who is gonna get back to that ground and pound. l'm excited to see Aaron Rodgers under center to see if he likes it or not."

Steelers' Offense Featuring New Faces In Key Spots

The Steelers offense will feature many new faces in key positions this season. Rodgers, of course, is the most headline-grabbing addition, and Mike Tomlin has expressed strong confidence that Rodgers can lead the team to a Super Bowl. Whether that goal is achieved will unfold during the 2025 season, but the mutual belief between Rodgers and the organization is clear.

That shared confidence makes the situation both intriguing and exciting for Steelers fans. With fresh talent stepping into important roles and a proven leader under center, the offense has a renewed energy and potential. The upcoming season promises to be one full of possibilities and high expectations.
