The Pittsburgh Steelers struggled offensively throughout Sunday's matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers had trouble throughout the afternoon as he was credited with just 203 yards and one touchdown, while throwing two interceptions as well. The Steelers' offense will need to play at a higher level moving forward if they want to make a deep playoff run in 2025.

Pittsburgh's offensive line will be a key factor to the team's success this season. Led by Broderick Jones and Troy Fautanu, the Steelers' offensive line has gotten off to a slow start over the first two games. Protecting Rodgers will prove to be critical as the season moves on, as one big hit could prove to be a massive blow to the 41 year old's career.
Jones took a moment to speak about the offensive unit's performance in Week 2 as a whole, where the promising lineman claimed everyone needs to be better in the future.
"That game was just like a sh*t show, basically, for us," Jones stated.
Jones continued to mention that the team needs to focus on the little things that Head Coach Mike Tomlin constantly emphasizes.
"Just as a whole, we got to continue to just get better and lock in each and every day and listen to what Coach T is telling us because Coach T is always emphasizing the little mistakes in team meetings," Jones explained.
Jones has had his fair share of struggles throughout the first two weeks of the season. A first-round selection in 2023, Jones has yet to truly establish himself as an elite lineman in the NFL, but continues to show flashes of his potential. Jones and the rest of the Steelers' offensive line will be tasked with one of the harder jobs in all of football throughout 2025 as protecting a quarterback as old as Rodgers makes things much more important.

The Steelers' offense will need to be better as a unit in Week 3. Pittsburgh will be on the road to face the New England Patriots, as both Rodgers and the offensive line will look to play at a higher level. DK Metcalf and Calvin Austin lll should continue to improve as well, as both receivers could quickly become top beneficiaries of the offensive line playing better. Pittsburgh's offensive unit will be faced with a true test in Week 3 against an elite Patriots secondary, as Rodgers and the offensive line will attempt to get back on track.
Steelers' Aaron Rodgers' Success In Week 3 Will Stem From The Offensive Line
It's no secret that the offensive line needs to do a better job in protecting Rodgers. The unit will be faced with a true test this Sunday in New England, as the Patriots' defense is a talented force. Headlined by Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis, the Patriots' secondary is one of the league's best, but will almost certainly have their hands full throughout Week 3 while covering Metcalf and Austin.
Jones and Fautanu will have to step up in New England. Rodgers will need as much time as possible in the pocket as he can get, and keeping the veteran on his feet will be absolutely crucial. The offensive line could quickly find themselves improving as the season rolls on, but the unit will be tasked with a true test this Sunday on the road.

Jones' frustration towards the offensive efforts in Week 2 is a positive thing to see. The Steelers' offense will look to play better as a unit moving forward, but extra protection from the offensive line would prove to be a massive help.
