The Pittsburgh Steelers have been in the news quite a bit after their victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. It was a great win within the division, but the group saw tons of adversity in the contest. That hardship came in the form of multiple injuries as the starting backfield left the game when Aaron Rodgers was hurt at the end of the first half, and then Jaylen Warren suffered an ankle injury near the start of the third quarter. Pittsburgh also lost star safety Jalen Ramsey in the fourth quarterback after he was ejected from the contest.

The Steelers won the game versus Cincinnati by a score of 34-12, and it was a huge win, but that victory has been overshadowed in ways by Ramsey's ejection. It came after getting into two separate altercations with wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase between plays, and he was penalized twice for personal fouls, which wound up getting him disqualified. He threw a punch at Chase, but it was revealed after the game that he did that because Chase spit on him.
Former Cincinnati star wide receiver Chad Ochocinco spoke about Chase's actions, and he seemed to be disappointed. He went in on the young player during a recent episode of Nightcap while talking with former great tight end, Shannon Sharpe.
"You know l'm rarely critical of players," Ochocinco said. "Very rarely. It takes a lot for me to be critical of someone. But this is one of those situations where I gotta let Chase know, you're dead wrong, boy. As much as I love you, you can't do that. You can't do that. You can be angry, you can be mad. You can say what you wanna say to a player on the field. But you can't spit on nobody, bro. Young bull, you can't spit on nobody."
It is worth noting that this statement is coming from a pretty controversial player. Ochocinco, in the eyes of many fans and pundits, was arrogant and cocky during his career. He made a name for himself as he talked a ton of trash and had some brash celebrations. He typically supports players playing in Cincinnati, but Chase's actions on Sunday were something he could not get behind.

Ramsey immediately accused Chase of spitting on him while speaking with the media after the game on Sunday, and Chase denied that he ever did anything. A video was released a little while after that clearly shows the wide receiver spitting on Ramsey, which caused the defender to punch the receiver. It would have been nice to see Ramsey finish the game, but his actions were warranted.

Chase and Ramsey were going at it all game long, and Chase probably had some built up frustration as he wasn't having his best game and was locked down against the Pittsburgh defense. Both players are in jeopardy of facing league discipline after the situation, as it is usual for the league to review scenarios like these. Jalen Carter was suspended one game for spitting at the start of the 2025 season, which is what could happen for Chase. Meanwhile, other players around the league have been suspended for throwing a punch, even if it was warranted and the player didn't initiate the scuffle.
Steelers May Have Ended The Bengals' Season
The Bengals are fighting for their lives in the AFC without starting quarterback Joe Burrow. His 21-day practice window was opened up not long ago, which should allow him to return if the team is still in consideration for the playoffs. After a loss to Pittsburgh to fall to 3-7, the postseason doesn't seem very promising.

Especially with a matchup against the 9-2 New England Patriots on the way, and the Bengals possibly being without Chase in that game, it's not looking good for Cincy.
