The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially agreed to terms with four-time NFL MVP and future Hall of Fame quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers, who has been anticipated to sign with Pittsburgh for a number of months now, is a player that is past his prime, but can still add some major firepower to a lackluster Steelers offense. More than likely entering his final NFL season, Rodgers is signing a one-year deal with Pittsburgh, with probable incentives.

With Rodgers officially in Pittsburgh, many continue to express their excitement and optimism towards the former Green Bay Packers QB. Consisting of Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson and rookie Will Howard, the rest of the Steelers' quarterback room lacked a true starting quarterback presence. Howard may prove to become a major beneficiary of Rodgers signing with Pittsburgh, as the former Ohio State Buckeye will now be under the wing of one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play.
With optimism now high, NFL analyst Ray Fittipaldo gave his thoughts on where he feels the Steelers currently stand after officially adding Rodgers.
"Listen, they won 10 games with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields as their quarterback last year," Fittipaldo stated. "I think [Rodgers is] at least worth one more win, maybe two."
Fittipaldo then went on to speak about his predictions for the Steelers' 2025 season, claiming the addition of Rodgers should almost certainly solidify Pittsburgh as an 11-win team.
"So I think this is now an 11-win team, something along those lines. I don't know if they are good enough to unseat the Ravens, I am not even sure if they are good enough to be the second Wild Card team in this division. Because eventually, the Bengals have to figure it out too. I mean, they can't continue to waste these Joe Burrow years. So it's a really tough conference and really tough division, but I think they are now squarely a 10 if not 11-win team."
Fittipaldo's comments should come as surprising to none, as many trusted sources around the NFL world viewed the Steelers as a starting quarterback away from being a legitimate contender. Rodgers, who is coming off an injury ridden two-year stint with the New York Jets, is expected to make an instant impact as the team continues to prepare for the start of mandatory minicamp.

Steelers Looking For One More Playmaker
As the Steelers find themselves with an answer at quarterback, the team is expected to turn its attention towards finding another legitimate wide receiver behind DK Metcalf. Metcalf, who was acquired by Pittsburgh after a trade with the Seattle Seahawks earlier in the offseason, is expected to play a major role on the Steelers' offense this year. With the rest of the wide receiver room consisting most notably of Calvin Austin lll, Roman Wilson and Robert Woods, Pittsburgh is expected to evaluate their options on both the free agency and trade market.
With many options remaining available in free agency, fans may want to monitor both Amari Cooper and Keenan Allen throughout the remainder of the offseason. Cooper, who was traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Buffalo Bills last season, is a five-time Pro Bowl receiver that would instantly make a major impact as the Steelers' WR2 behind Metcalf. Allen, a six-time Pro Bowler and 12-year veteran, is an elite route runner that would certainly become a top option for Pittsburgh.

The Steelers may turn to the talent that is already on the roster as well, as both Austin lll and Wilson continue to show signs of improvement throughout the offseason. With Rodgers officially becoming a Steeler prior to the start of training camp however, many have agreed with Fittipaldo's comments regardless of the team's possible additions. Despite his age and recent injury history, many feel that the addition of Rodgers should solidify Pittsburgh as a 10-11-win team entering the 2025 season.
