Pittsburgh Steelers legendary four-time Super Bowl quarterback, Terry Bradshaw has been known to find himself in some interesting headlines. Usually it's for funny reasons, and that was the case again when Bradshaw appeared on a podcast and made a bold joke about Tom Brady's massive contract with FOX Sports. The two quarterbacks are both NFL legends, but only one has been in the broadcasting world for decades.

Bradshaw has worked at FOX Sports since the network acquired the NFL package in 1994, making him a staple of Sunday coverage for more than 30 years. His long tenure and unique personality have made him one of the most recognizable faces on television. With FOX handing Brady a record-breaking deal to eventually join their broadcast booth, it's no surprise Bradshaw had something to say.
While discussing Brady’s contract on the To The Point – Home Services Podcast, Bradshaw couldn’t help but crack a joke. He pointed out how wild it was that Brady was getting such a massive deal without any broadcasting experience. With his usual dry humor, Bradshaw took a playful jab at the situation, getting a laugh out of the hosts and reminding everyone that even a legend like Brady isn’t above being teased.
"Did you see the numbers they did?" Bradshaw asked the audience. "The largest Super Bowl in history. 126 million people. There’s 330 million people in America. That is a ton. The Fox pregame show averaged 28 million for five hours. Who in the world is gonna sit around and watch that mess for five hours? 28 million."
Bradshaw brought up the Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, asking the live audience if they had watched the game.

Since FOX aired the broadcast, Bradshaw proudly pointed out that he played a part in the record-breaking viewership numbers. That’s when he shifted the conversation and made his joke about FOX Sports and Brady’s massive contract.
"You know how much money they made? God. More money than plumbers, I can assure you that," Bradshaw said. "28 million. And I guarantee you, if I go in there and ask for a raise, 'Well, we don’t have any…we’re running a little tight.' Well, you just paid Tom Brady $37 million a year. I’ll take it. I did some bad deals, that’s what it was."
Bradshaw has clearly built a strong relationship with FOX Sports to have worked with the network for three decades. Still, it's only natural for him to make a lighthearted joke about Brady's massive contract.
It’s unclear whether the story Bradshaw told about walking into the room and asking for a raise actually happened or if he was simply using it as an example. Either way, he didn’t sound confident he would get one, saying they claim to be tight with their money. Just not for Brady.
Steelers' Terry Bradshaw Likely Feels Identical To Tom Brady
In Bradshaw’s mind, he probably sees some similarities between himself and Brady. While their accolades may not be identical, both are Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks and major figures in NFL history.
Bradshaw won four Super Bowls in the 1970s and played a key role in one of the greatest dynasties the league has ever seen. Brady did the same, but he also won seven Super Bowls, an incredible feat that cements his place as the greatest of all time in the eyes of most football experts.

One fun connection between them is the nickname TB12. While that label is widely recognized as part of Brady’s brand, some fans like to point out that Bradshaw was actually the original TB12. The two iconic quarterbacks have a combined total of 11 Super Bowls between the two of them. That's 11 more than the Cleveland Browns have.
