The Pittsburgh Steelers have made multiple big moves throughout the 2025 offseason. Pittsburgh traded for former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver, DK Metcalf, while also signing four-time MVP and future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a one-year deal. The Steelers traded veteran free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Miami Dolphins in exchange of Pro Bowl tight end Jonnu Smith and superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey as well, as the team was able to address multiple issues on both sides of the ball prior to the start of training camp.

Pittsburgh signed superstar linebacker TJ Watt to a three-year extension most recently, as the veteran is officially the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Despite the plethora of moves on both the free agency and trade market, many fans continue to express their excitement towards the Steelers' new throwback uniforms, which were revealed on Monday.

The uniform will feature a close resemblance to the throwback uniforms worn from during the 1994 season, with slight differences.

Pittsburgh has had a multitude of throwback and alternate uniforms throughout the years, with the infamous "bumblebee" uniforms being a solidified fan favorite.

The "bumblebee" uniforms were a copy of the uniforms worn by the team throughout the 1930s, and were last worn by Pittsburgh in 2016.

October 26th is a date that should be circled on all Steelers fans' calendars, as Rodgers will face off against his former team for the first time in his career along with debuting the new uniforms. Rodgers spent a total of 18 seasons in Green Bay, as the veteran is widely regarded as the greatest quarterback in Packers history. Rodgers spent the past two seasons with the New York Jets, as his tenure was highlighted by a brutal Achilles injury followed by a mediocre year in 2024.

The game against the Packers will be one of four primetime games that Pittsburgh will be featured in, as many would argue that the matchup is the perfect opportunity to debut the new uniforms.

The spotlight will almost certainly be on both Rodgers and the Steelers' uniforms throughout the night, as Rodgers will more than likely be playing his former team for the first and only time. The Steelers are expected to bring back their color rush uniforms in 2025 as well, as they have been rumored to debut during Monday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins in week 15.

Steelers Rookie Derrick Harmon Set To Thrive In 2025

With the start of training camp just a few days away, Mike Tomlin and his coaching staff are expected to turn their attention towards evaluating the performance of rookies and rising stars throughout the course of camp. One player who is in prime position to thrive throughout the 2025 season is first round draft selection Derrick Harmon. Harmon is an elite defensive tackle out of Oregon, and was widely regarded as one of the top defensive lineman in the entire class.

The Pittsburgh Steelers select DL Derrick Harmon out of the University of Oregon with the 21st choice in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Harmon was a star on the college level, as the former Duck played a major role in the program's playoff run last season. The former college star should quickly become a major beneficiary of Watt and Cam Heyward's presence as well, as both veterans are expected to be excellent mentors towards the promising rookie. With Harmon set to shine under the wing of two NFL legends, fans can expect to get their first glimpse of the rookie practicing in full pads at the start of camp later this week.

As the Steelers officially reveal their new throwback uniforms, social media continues to voice their excitement over the new look. Fans will have to wait until October 26th to officially see the uniforms in-game, as Rodgers will look to get a win against his former team. Pittsburgh is expected to continuing evaluating Harmon and the rest of the Steelers' rookies throughout training camp, as the start of the regular season continues to rapidly approach us.
