The Pittsburgh Steelers had been searching for their next reliable center, and they believe they found it in Zach Frazier. When the Steelers drafted Frazier in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, expectations were high that he could develop into the next great Steelers center. Known for his strength, technique, and football IQ, Frazier entered the league with the tools to make an immediate impact.

In his rookie season, Frazier did not disappoint. He quickly impressed coaches and teammates with his consistency in pass protection and ability to anchor the offensive line in the run game. His poise and leadership on the field made it clear that the Steelers had found a cornerstone player for their offensive line. Fans and analysts alike took notice as Frazier handled the transition from college to the NFL with remarkable composure.
Now heading into his second season, many pundits believe Frazier is poised for an even bigger jump. NFL.com Senior News Writer Kevin Patra named Frazier as the Steelers’ potential first-time Pro Bowler, highlighting the center’s rapid rise. Perhaps the most striking part of Patra’s prediction was his confidence that Frazier could finish the 2025 season as one of the top three centers in the entire NFL, cementing his place among the league’s elite and giving Steelers fans plenty to be excited about.
"Frazier came out of the wrapping paper as a top-10 center, paving the way on the ground while proving solid in pass protection," Patra said. "During his rookie campaign, he opened holes in the run game and allowed just 12 QB pressures, second-fewest among centers, per PFF (minimum 500 pass-rushing snaps). Most young offensive linemen make a significant Year 2 leap after being in the pro strength program for a year and building chemistry with their coaches and linemates."
Patra believes that Frazier will seriously stake his claim in the league. His main point is simple: Frazier is an incredibly hard worker, and most centers make a significant leap in their second season after spending time in the team’s system and strength and conditioning program.

Frazier has already impressed his new quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. In the 2024 season, Frazier snapped the football to Russell Wilson, and now he will be snapping it to a former four-time league MVP. Rodgers will need Frazier to become an elite center in 2025 if he wants to make his job easier and help the offense reach its full potential.
"Yes, Frazier is breaking in another QB, but then again, Aaron Rodgers' experience under center should only aid the pivot," Patra said. "Frazier could push his way into the top three at his position this season."
Rodgers has clearly taken a liking to Frazier, even joking that the young center can be 'a bit too smug' at times. Comments like that highlight the growing chemistry between the two, and Steeler Nation will be excited to hear another strong endorsement and bold prediction for their rising star.

Making the Pro Bowl would be a significant achievement for Frazier early in his career, though winning playoff games would mean even more to him. Either way, Frazier is expected to be a major draw and a key player to watch.
