Chargers' Daiyan Henley Detailed Exactly How They Used Aaron Rodgers To Pick Apart The Steelers' Offense

The Pittsburgh Steelers fell to 5-4 on Sunday night as the group lost to the Los Angeles Chargers by a score of 25-10. The game was a disaster for Pittsburgh as the offense could barely do anything throughout the entire night. Pittsburgh had just three points up until late in the fourth quarter when the offense was finally able to put together a decent drive for a garbage time touchdown. It made things closer on the scoreboard, but everyone that watched that game and took part in it knew that the Steelers played their worst game of the season and were completely dominated.

Pittsburgh's offense had its most dysfunctional game of 2025 by far, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers also put forth his worst performance as a member of the Steelers. Rodgers expects a lot from his teammates, and there are times during games where he is visibly frustrated if the offense stalls out or someone doesn't make a play. That was evident on Sunday night, but he was also upset at himself most of the time. Chargers linebacker Daiyan Henley was asked after the game if he could feel Rodgers' frustration on the field, and what he said made it seem like it was a goal of the Chargers to get the four-time MVP upset.

"Man, we know Aaron Rodgers, he has this level of play that he wants everyone to meet," Henley said. "We know that if we can try to raise the pressure up on him, just try to get them to go at each other instead of, you know, us. When you got a Hall of Famer over there trying to raise the bar for his teammates, raise the standards, we got to make sure it's hard for him to do that."

The reporter was almost baiting Henley into saying something about Rodgers' obvious frustration, but the young linebacker kept his cool and just mentioned that the quarterback wants his teammates to elevate their play. Los Angeles knew that if their defense could put a buffer on that, Rodgers and Pittsburgh's offense would stall out and the frustration would grow. The frustration certainly continued to build throughout the game for the Steelers' offense.

Rodgers has been painted in the media as a player that can be overly critical of his teammates. That was seen during the 2024 season when he publicly criticized then New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams about a route that he ran incorrectly late in a game that led to an interception. He hasn't been that kind of teammate in Pittsburgh. If anything, he has been the exact opposite. The Chargers wanted to tap into that frustration that Rodgers sometimes shows in order to get the offense to turn on one another. It is hard to tell if that is what happened for Pittsburgh exactly, but it is clear the offense could not do its job as it mustered up just 10 points in the contest.

Steelers Should Be Able To Reset Offensively In Week 11

As mentioned, the Steelers' offense had arguably their worst performance of the season in Week 10, but the group should be able to get back on track as the Steelers will face the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11. The Bengals currently rank dead last in most defensive metrics, which is ideal for a Pittsburgh offense that is in the middle of a slump.

Rodgers was able to throw for four touchdowns and nearly 250 yards the last time Pittsburgh took on Cincinnati, and the quarterback will look to have a similar performance for the rematch in Week 11.
