The Pittsburgh Steelers went into halftime thinking their 41-year-old quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, was fine. However, it was quickly revealed that Rodgers had injured his hand on the final drive before halftime. Despite the injury, Rodgers walked off the field showing little outward signs of discomfort. Still, he was forced to sit out the second half of the Steelersβ 34-12 victory on Sunday in Week 11. While the win was much needed, losing Rodgers in the middle of the game is far from ideal.

Backup quarterback Mason Rudolph stepped in and delivered a solid performance, completing 75% of his passes for 127 yards and one touchdown. By protecting the football and managing the offense efficiently, Rudolph helped extend the Steelersβ lead and ensured the team maintained control throughout the second half. His composed play gave the Steelers a safety net while Rodgers sat out with an injured hand, giving fans some reassurance about the depth of the quarterback room.

The silver lining for Steelers fans is that Rodgers apparently believed he was healthy enough to finish the game, according to Pro Football Talkβs Mike Florio. Reports suggest that the Steelers, out of an abundance of caution, did not allow him to play the third and fourth quarters. Now, all eyes will be on updates regarding Rodgersβ hand, as fans anxiously await more details about the extent of the injury and his availability moving forward.
"I'm told he actually tried to come back in the game," Florio said while speaking about Rodgers hand injury. "They didn't let him play. They're going to have imaging examinations tomorrow to determine the extent of the injury."
Now all eyes turn to the Week 12 contest at Soldier Field against the Chicago Bears. The Bears are a legitimate, winning team this year, sitting at 7-3 and atop the NFC North. Both Pittsburgh and Chicago will be eager to secure a victory and continue building momentum in the playoff race.

For the Steelers, however, they may have to do it without Rodgers. When Rodgers was first teasing joining Pittsburgh, he specifically mentioned the Bears as a team he would be facing.
Steelers' Aaron Rodgers Pushing Hard To Play In Week 12 Against The Bears
Rodgers has long made his mark against Chicago, dominating them for decades, and itβs clear he wants to play in this matchup. New reports indicate heβs pushing hard to take the field despite recent injury concerns. That said, it would be pretty wild to see a 41-year-old quarterback play with a broken bone in his left hand. NFL insider Ian Rapoport believes it could happen.

All eyes remain on Rodgers as he works toward playing, even though it was revealed he has a broken bone in his left wrist. After the Week 11 game, Rodgers was seen celebrating with teammates while sporting what appeared to be a brace on his hand.

Itβs certainly reassuring that he felt comfortable enough to play if needed against the Bengals on Sunday, but the injury is still a concern as Pittsburgh looks ahead to a critical matchup against a strong Bears team.
