The Pittsburgh Steelers had many confused about their quarterback plans for the 2025 season. It was a long, drawn-out process, but finally, Aaron Rodgers made it clear he was going to spend at least the 2025 season with Pittsburgh. Rodgers came in very excited to play for Head Coach Mike Tomlin, and through the first five weeks of the NFL season, the Steelers are 3-1. Rodgers has kept the offense competitive and efficient, showing the kind of leadership and precision that fans hoped he would bring to Pittsburgh.

Rodgers' experience has immediately elevated the team’s passing game and has given the Steelers a sense of stability at a position that had been in question for years. Although the Steelers didn’t play in Week 5 due to their bye week, the league spotlight remained on them, thanks in part to Rodgers’ impressive start.
Analysts and former players alike have taken notice, highlighting how Rodgers has quickly adapted to the Steelers’ system while maintaining his signature accuracy and football IQ. His presence has also seemed to lift younger players around him, including the wide receiver room, which has been able to make more explosive plays and read defenses better with Rodgers calling the shots.
The combination of his calm leadership and big-play ability has given the Steelers offense a much-needed spark heading into the rest of the season. Even the greatest quarterback of all time, Tom Brady, weighed in on the situation. While on the Fox Sports set, Brady broke down how impressed he’s been with both Rodgers and the Steelers as a whole. He praised Rodgers’ ability to command the offense, make quick decisions under pressure, and deliver consistently in critical moments.
"Beyond impressed and I think at that age there are so many other factors that come into play about how to be a great quarterback," Brady said while speaking about Rodgers on Fox Sports Sunday. "We all wanna talk about what happens in the offseason with him and there’s some things that are different, but what we know about him on the field is he is a surgical passer."
Brady’s recognition adds credibility to what Steelers fans have been witnessing firsthand: a revitalized offense led by one of the game’s most skilled quarterbacks.

With Rodgers at the helm and Tomlin’s coaching acumen guiding the team, Pittsburgh appears well-positioned to make a strong push in the 2025 season. Though many Steelers fans worry they have seen this movie before, that doesn't seem to concern Brady.
"He has a killer instinct and he’s hyper competitive," Brady said. "I think he has brought all of those things to Pittsburgh."
The Steelers will look to come out of their bye week with a strong home win over the Cleveland Browns. Pittsburgh is 3-1, and no matter how good or bad the opponent is, any AFC North matchup is always going to be a dogfight. The Browns have actually been playing pretty well, and rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel looked solid despite a recent loss, making this matchup even more challenging for the Steelers.
Steelers' Rodgers Ready For AFC North Play
Rodgers will start his AFC North matchup on Sunday, and Steelers fans are eager to see how he handles one of the toughest divisions in football. The team will need both precision passing and physical play up front to control the game and avoid giving the Browns momentum.

This is a game that the Steelers should win, but it won't be easy. The Browns’ young quarterback and disciplined defense are capable of keeping the game close, meaning the Steelers must execute at a high level from start to finish.
