Steelers Killer Tom Brady Predicts Pittsburgh Will Learn From Eagles Loss And "Be Much Better" Against Ravens

The Pittsburgh Steelers matched up against quarterback Tom Brady 16 total times during his 23-season career. He was always a formidable foe, boasting a 12-4 record against Pittsburgh. However, Brady is in a new position as an analyst for Fox Sports. While the reviews on him are still mixed, and much of Steeler Nation still holds a grudge, he offered some positivity after the Week 15 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles

Led by Jalen Hurts, the Eagles are considered a serious Super Bowl contender. On the other hand, Russell Wilson has performed far better than anyone expected, yet the Steelers have been struggling to get any respect from the national media.

Unfortunately, they proved many of those analysts right with how they played in Philadelphia. They struggled to get anything going offensively. The defense forced two turnovers, but they only managed to turn that into three points. After the game, Brady spoke with the Fox Sports crew and shared his thoughts on the Steelers' path forward, and unlike many fans, the future Hall of Famer isn't panicking.

"I think they're going to learn from what happened today and be much better next week," predicted Brady.

The Steelers are in a tough stretch with three games in 10 days. They will face the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday and then the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day. While you never want to overlook any opponent, the league certainly did Pittsburgh a disservice by lumping their three toughest games together in such a short period. It will be the second time they have had only four days between games this season, and both times included the Ravens.

The Steelers beat the Ravens during their Week 11 matchup 18-16. They hope to sweep the Ravens again this season and lock up the spot at the top of the AFC North. Brady said they will likely be without receiver George Pickens again, and they need to find new ways to move the ball down the field.

"It was a tough day obviously without Pickens, and he may not be there next week either, but just finding ways to produce offensively," said Brady. "They struggled on the ground game; they didn't throw for, I don't think, 150 yards today, so there wasn't a lot of production from the other skill players. They tried a flea flicker, if they go to Baltimore, which they are, they're going to have to play a clean game -- limit penalties, limit turnovers. One thing they did last time they played Baltimore was they possessed the football, 36-minute times of possession, so it's got to be a similar formula."

This echoes Wilson's sentiments after the Eagles loss. He told the media that the team needed to look "sharper" and avoid making senseless mistakes, especially the penalties. He said they must set themselves up for success by getting in manageable third-down situations.

The Steelers have already secured a spot in the playoffs, but will be looking to advance in seeding by winning their next three games. There is nothing easy about playing the Ravens, who are also looking to secure their postseason spot.

Former Steelers WR Likely Won't Play In Week 16

Diontae Johnson was traded from the Steelers to the Carolina Panthers during the 2024 offseason. He never established footing in Carolina, and they traded him back to the AFC North to the Ravens.

His time in Baltimore has been rocky. He hasn't played much in Baltimore and had zero catches in the Week 11 game. They suspended him for refusing to play against the Eagles, and now they "mutually agreed" to excuse him from team activities this week.

John Harbaugh took a page out of Mike Tomlin's playbook when he addressed the excusal in his press conference, saying he is focused on preparations for this week.
